#memorial #MichaelGriffith - killed in a racial attack on 12/20/86. Griffith & his friends stopped at #NewParkPizza in #HowardBeach after their car broke down. Confronted there by youths, they were beaten and chased. Griffith fled onto nearby highway where he was killed by a car.

Today I installed this #memorial & #commemoration to the 35th anniversary of the #tiananmensquaremassacre on #june41989. On that day, the Chinese government & military killed about 1000 people during demonstrations for #freespeech and #democracy. May their memory be a blessing.
