It was a great day Sunday at the 23rd Annual EMS Week Competition. Our EMTs and Paramedics competed in various skill and knowledge-based challenges and showed off their strength in the Strongperson competition. Family and friends joined in on the fun too!

On Friday, the EMS Hockey team hit the ice with FDNY Station 8 in a charity memorial game in honor of Lt. Nelson Seto, who passed away while off-duty in February. The EMS Hockey team secured the win with a final score of 6-3.

On Thursday, the FDNY unveiled the city’s first electric vehicle used as a Paramedic Response Unit at the DCAS Fleet Show. Much like Paramedics, these vehicles will help save lives. The PRUs will be equipped to respond to advanced life support (ALS) cases. ALS cases make up 35%
