For the record like 99% of the negative reviews have nothing to do with the game itself, but SEGA's practice of adding both Denuvo AND using Epic Games launcher for online play. Steam players were not happy about this lol. The game itself is awesome
I'm sorry. But if you're letting other people's opinion deter you from buying/playing Sonic Superstars.
You're missing out imo. The game is amazing, fun and a great love letter to the Classic series.

These sorta micro-levels were absolutely the best part of the open zone and showcased the potential for a purely 3D level format with tight controls. These are better than the cyberspace levels. I think these are one of the best parts of the game
Those mini levels within the OZs are cool and a great idea for Open Sonic. I want more and even better next game.

The references in Frontiers made sense and weren't anywhere NEAR as intrusive and annoying as people made them out to be. There were like 1 or 2 flashbacks in total, and a handful of references to past games, most of which were just passive idle dialogue mentions of characters

No, it's due to people, such as myself, actually playing the public demo and experiencing this game first-hand. It controls incredibly well, the movement is incredibly fun, and the demo was the most fun I've had in a Sonic game since the Adventure series.
