imo theres very logical reasons youtube (and other websites) enshittify. if they make the website to good, without constant change, they cant grow their stocks as much as they desire, 0 to report at meetings. the coders go along w this bc otherwise many of their jobs are at risk
i don't know what that is but genuinely why the fuck is youtube doing this. there is literally no reason for them to remove custom captions. there are actually 0 benefits from them doing this. they're literally just making the website worse.
