But how THIS guy got away is equally important. Because an inmate serving a life sentence for child sexual assault isn’t working outside to “slip” away. He’s not a trusty. There was a huge security failure, hence TDCJ’s vague reference to *how* he left.

Quick question: how many TDCJ inmates need to escape before the Texas Board of Criminal Justice decides that *maybe* the agency needs new leadership at the top? It would appear current policies aren’t working if an inmate can “slip” away. Every. Single. Month.
