Dumfries gets to stand with his hand in the air for 6 seconds without a single US defender scanning in that direction, much less seeing him. 3-1! The lack of defensive scanning is noteworthy, sadly not extraordinary.

Youth players in USA: now that USA is out, still watch the World Cup. I'm hearing too many say they only watch USA play. So many other teams to watch, observe their formations, style, and watch the players in the position you play. 🙏🏻⚽️

Congrats AFA Fillies 2006 Black on being U17 SLYSA Championship Division Champions for Fall 2022. Going undefeated with 8 wins, 1 draw, 0 losses. 27 goals scored and just 10 against. An amazing season to say the least! @slysaleague @AFAFillies

A lot of girls lack confidence because they don’t do DELIBERATE practice They go through the motions They practice their skills in a low intensity environment They don’t face challenge in their training. Girls need to train in an environment more intense than match day

Whether 8 or 18, kids need a break. Rest, recover, relax. Then get stronger or work on fitness, but take a break from the sport.
When kids can't walk without pain for 2-3 days after a travel tournament of which they played 5-7 games- that's a problem. Dr. Andrews has beat this drum for years and we are not listening!

We can teach players how to play with great PACE versus playing fast all the time. Players who understand pace are great at taking advantage of opportunities- they burst, hesitate, attack, flow, get into spaces. Players who play fast often get into trouble.

If you’re coaching an Under 14, 12, 10 football team, remember, your mission objective isn’t to win! It should be to give the young people playing the best possible development experience. If winning happens as a consequence, then fantastic. Player centred = Human centred
