Trump’s “Ukraine” plan is not a peace plan. Like all his plans it is a grossly 1-sided pact cooked up with a strong man (with commercial deals on the side). It betrays Ukraine, the Western alliance and our most fundamental values. When are we going to admit what is happening?

@Ofstednews English report of 2024 reports around 25% of pupils not reaching its so-called "expected standard" in reading at KS2 and 3. Nationally, this amounts to around 150k children in each year group, or over a million in the system at any one time. What is the basis of this

We hope you're having a BRILLIANT night at #DurhamLumiere this evening. This year five artists were selected to turn their bright ideas into a dazzling display of light as part of the BRILLIANT scheme. With less than an hour to go until closing, make sure you don't miss them.

@wesstreeting @BMAResidents Cons drove down salaries for everyone paid by govt. Why should Drs, who have been forced to pay for their own training, be so poorly paid?

@mazst @KiMcGuinness Where does that fantasy figure come from? And if true why would they need a £250K handout - they should self fund.

Absolutely incredible aurora tonight. Co. Durham, UK. It was magic. Of course I headed straight to the fields. Last time my 1.47am sheep went viral and I said that photographing sheep under auroras was going to be my new career - & I learned I need to watermark! More coming!
