An anchor is a universal symbol of hope, strength, stability, permanence & belonging. Values which reflect the optimism associated with 1948 Windrush pioneers, their descendants & all migrant settlers. The world’s most famous anchor set in a memorial would be a fitting touchstone

Still banging my head against a brick wall of protected ‘Britishness’ and an establishment-weighted system of #DelayDeflectDeny . But I live in hope that one day @BBCNews @itvnews @Channel4News et al might just start asking a few questions themselves 🙏🏽

1.The local ‘MP Filter’ is an outdated Westminster gatekeeping practice preventing open access to @PHSOmbudsman ….And even the Prime Minister can’t intervene ! 🤷🏼♂️. 2.No National UK Museum has any appeal process whatsoever for permanent or temporarily restricted individuals ! 🤷🏼♂️.

I may have lost my soulmate many years ago… but every time I see a couple holding hands, my heart still skips a beat ❤️.#LoveMakesTheWorldGoRound.

Which begs the question why many years ago, schools that weren’t private were encouraged to sell off their sports grounds?. @amolrajan ‘over’ to you 🤷🏼♂️.
Test cricket is intellectually, morally, aesthetically, spiritually, emotionally, dramatically, artistically, physically, mentally, historically, consistently, decisively, dumbfoundingly, globally, unapologetically, unquestionably superior to every other game yet invented.

Very sad to see my local Rev Kev leaving… lovely chap and a kindly support to me over the past 14 years. His friendship beyond Church matters has been a great strength through some very challenging times. Godbless Fr 🙏🏽
How does any priest run two parishes for 14 years with a bike for the commute? ‘Rev Kev’ did it and grew the fine community in SE10. And gave a brilliant party too.

When I watch main TV bulletins I kinda expect to see stories relevant or related to national & world events. But @Channel4News tonight included an item on artist Anya Paintsil, which can only be described as promotional. #WeHaveBBCforThat !. I can’t believe C4 ran out of news 🤔.

Nice opportunity to post a link to my Empire Anchor concept from a few years back. Still just a digital concept but maybe one day it might be a real thing 👍.
Emancipation Day marks the end of slavery across (most of) the British Empire on 1 August 1834. Celebrated annually, it’s more than a historical milestone; it’s a day to remember the strength of those who survived, honour the culture they built, and carry their fight forward.
