🧵CHILD 'K': TO UNDERMINE A VOID In preparation for Lucy Letby's appeal hearing next week regarding Child 'K', I've written another article and accompanying thread about the case. This conviction is arguably the weakest of all, which I understand is quite the statement. I've

It is easier to present a hypothesis at a press conference in front of Peter Hitchens and Nadine Dorries than it is to be cross-examined in a court of law.

Why did Letby and her defence team call no expert witnesses? Having read the transcripts, both barristers were very aggressive. Ben Myers did everything he could to destroy the credibility of Dewi Evans on the stand, arguing that he was making up causes of death as he went along

The 2015 inquest into the death of baby Noah Robinson in Chester could be highly relevant to the Letby case because it showed that the doctors struggled to intubate very small babies and to spot when the intubation had gone disastrously wrong. Could other intubation and

Very interesting: in their May 2017 meeting with police, the consultants brought up concerns about a set of twins that Letby was never charged with harming. And yet we keep getting told that the babies that featured in the prosecution's infamous shift chart were the only ones

I'm particularly intrigued to hear from Annette Weatherley & Dr Chris Green, who oversaw the investigation into Letby's HR complaint against the consultants. Dr Green's investigation led him to conclude that the accusatory consultants had probably lied. https://t.co/bBXWtYYGGz

I’d * love* to see these geniuses, after months alone and perhaps worse in prison on antidepressants, undergo severe and hostile questioning on their lives and work, for days on end. See how guilty they’d look.

@lizyeld @ClarkeMicah @MatleyVirgo I think that's the point. The jury and other observers were present every day of the trial for 10 months. They saw Lucy reply to questions for 14 days as a very unconvincing witness contradicting herself and dodging difficult questions.
