This turned away fans that night at the bull ring. Huge crowd and broke the gate record in Monterrey. A month later Blue Demon took the mask from El Matematico in front of another sellout crowd. Blue Demon was having his retirement tour, so people believed he may lose the mask.

Gerry Morrow had so many great stories, even if you understood half of what he said. What a crazy career he had too. Traveled all over the world. He broke into Wrestling through the old IWE dojo in Japan in 1971.

Heard from Bad News Allen's family that this was true. Gerry was tremendous in the ring.

I haven't seen this, but got word that Gerard Etifier aka Champagne Jerry Morrow, passed away at the age of 75 on Monday. Major name in Canada, particularly Stampede Wrestling. Everyone will tell you he was a super underrated great worker.

People STOP this revisionist history. Folks need to know the year before Hogan and WWF expanded record business was taking place around the country. More wrestlers had full-time jobs in 83' than they did in 89'. WWF expansion hurt wrestling FAR more than it improved it.

There are tons of media covering Hogan's death. Like many in the industry, the phone has been blowing up. Even did an interview for the local FOX 13 channel talking Hogan.

Hogan and WWF changed wrestling. Some things were good, and many were bad. Hogan, the character, puts smiles on so many faces. He touched so many young kids' lives. He also had a troubling view on people in his real life.

While I was never a big fan of Hogan or WWF in the 80s, I was amazed the 1st time I saw him live. It's still among the loudest crowds I have ever witnessed. The arena was literally shaking from the 20,000+ fans in attendance.

Just know this, for Hulk Hogan, that list would be larger than anyone's. During his peak run in the 80s cards he headlined drew double (or more) what other headliners were averaging.

Usually, when a prominent figure in Pro wrestling passes. I work on sending a file containing some of the major events that wrestler headlined around the world for the Wrestling Observer obit piece. For Hogan, the task would be so time-consuming and lengthy.
