it’s interesting because even after OpenAI acquisition announcement, they were hiring really aggressively. which of course you have to assume it could fall through, but corporate behavior seemed almost as if nothing had changed.

seeing an inversion of risk taking behavior at the top of large public tech companies . normally “nothing ever happens” because enterprises are allergic to failure . but failure is now defined as “missing the boat on AI”. which means you do absolutely anything to win in AI.
