Love this from @insidehighered about #EndCCStigma "We're affordable, far more affordable," he said. "But that comes with the stigma that if it's not expensive, it can't be good." We see the same issue @MadisonCollege too! How did a 2-year college help you?

I’m so grateful I have the opportunity to work with @XueliWang1 on two separate grants around supporting STEM students. Her work is truly groundbreaking.

Great advice and perfect timing for me from #kramerleadership as I start a new role as program director this fall @MadisonCollege
Be careful not to show favoritism, even to that one professor who has been your closest colleague. People are looking for reasons to either support you or point out your mistakes. Stay on the high-integrity side of the fence.

I just finished my first ever painting class @madisoncollege with my mom. I can’t say enough good things about the instructor, Lauren Harlowe. She was so amazing. It was an amazing experience. Here’s a pic of my painting and the photo I used to create it.

I just read this quote in an article but it didn’t site the source. “Students take risks when teachers take risks. Teachers take risks when administrators take risks.” Any idea who said it? I ❤️ It! #ITeachMath #MTBoS

This is a program I co-run @MadisonCollege. I am so honored to be part of it and have the support of @MadCollegeSTEM and the @NSF_EHR to make it possible! #matcproud
A pilot program helps support minority students who want to pursue careers in STEM fields. Thanks to a grant, this program was able to increase the number of students who received support and mentoring this semester. https://t.co/dtqMrFyIpm

What a great article. Learning math is really so much more than the math. I might play this at the beginning of all my classes @madisoncollege in the fall! #iteachmath
Patience, attention to detail, humility and persistence - 4 of 6 lessons this student learned from majoring in math. https://t.co/iIOHJTi6Gt

Sixty percent of our Scholars of Promise students dream of earning a bachelor's degree. Today, Madison College & @UWMadison formalized an agreement that will allow our Scholars of Promise students the ability to transfer to UW to earn a bachelor's degree tuition-free. #MATCproud

Thanks @robertkaplinsky for sharing @ddmeyer’s talk. Really excellent dive into how it is not just *what* we teach, but *how* we teach. A great reminder that curriculum and pedagogy are intertwined. #iteachmath #MTBoS
Make some time to watch this very powerful talk that I thoroughly enjoyed at the Wisconsin Math Council annual conference last May. We are all very lucky that Dan takes the time to share his talks with us online. Thanks @ddmeyer!

Check out my current @HarvardBiz article - an exciting new body of work focusing on tactics individual #women working in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (#STEM) careers can implement to survive and thrive in this male-dominated industry:
hbr.org
In prior research, the Center for Talent Innovation (CTI) found that women leave STEM fields in droves: 52% of highly qualified women working for science, technology, or engineering companies leave...
