I don’t normally share anything personal but this my dad from a while back explaining to my daughter he signed the Beatles. Ordinary people do extraordinary things. Great decisions are made for the simplest reasons. “I figured if I like them this much other people might too” ❤️
Teacher, father and friend. My dad passed away 4 years ago today. He is missed by so many, those that knew him and loved him and those that just felt like then knew him. He was a lovely man...RIP Jammy George
Happy happy birthday
@PaulMcCartney
- you have been a mentor, guide, friend, collaborator and a fine maker of fine bagels and tea. I love you. For all my life you have been nothing but kind and brilliant xxx
Happy Birthday Dad x you did do many great things in life... most importantly you were kind and compassionate throughout. What I miss most is our humour we had. Go well x
Oh no.
@jeffbeckmusic
has died. How can someone so alive have gone. The best there was. Some of my dad’s happiest moments in a studio were working with him. I had the pleasure of recording him playing a Day in The Life - he was a genius.
RIP
@GeoffEmerick
one of finest and most innovative engineers to have graced a recording studio. I grew up with him as he worked so much with my father. We have all been touched by the sounds he helped create on the greatest music ever recorded.
Look music people, not a computer to been seen anywhere. The beat of the
@thebeatles
music was the heartbeat of the band. (He’s says writing this in front of a computer mixing music) - what a hypocrite!
Happy Birthday
@PaulMcCartney
- a living genius. I’ve had the honour of knowing him all my life and he’s constantly been kind, generous and compassionate. Without his support I wouldn’t have had the life I’ve had. Thank you and have a super day. X
Yes I’m the maelstrom of a video going viral, a mix was done of the rooftop concert for streaming. It’s rough, it’s ready, but above all else all very human and made with love - it’s out tomorrow x
Amazing response to that tweet, the only downside this is that I now have a 12 year old who has signed all the nice kids at school to multi million dollar recording contracts..,
Thank you
@eltonofficial
- fingers crossed for today. Whatever happens we will have fun. I made some great friends on
@rocketmanmovie
none more than
@TaronEgerton
and
@Dexfletch
. We’ll have a laugh no matter what happens. Thank you for the love and the music 🎵
Rest in peace
#GaryBrooker
- incredible singer, writer and musician- more than that he was a lovely, lovely man. He and his wife Frankie looked after me and my sis when my parents were away. They gave so much love and warmth to us as kids, I wish I’d thanked him before he passed
This last week has been London, New York, Los Angeles and Tokyo. “Sheeesh”- as Ringo would say! I’m so proud to be talking about the bravest album the Beatles recorded and one of the most influential records of all time. All 27 Esher Demos, 50 outtakes, 30 songs remixed. X
Tony Hart was one of my dads best friends, he used to come on holiday with us with his wife and taught me how to draw. It’s lovely to see this. Art is life!
Cry Baby Cry - Giles Martin demonstrates the journey from demo via session outtake to the finished master of the new 2018 mix for the

Helter Skelter –

talks us through the recording, from the first blues jam sessions to the revisited, loud and heavy sessions, and on to how it became the iconic, finished master. Now remixed for the 2018 release of the

This is so sad. He was a brilliant and kind man. He will be so missed by everyone. Lee Eastman, his son has taken over for a while and has the compassion, honesty and sheer straightforwardness of his dad. It’s tough to follow a legacy but he’s amazing. RIP
My dear brother-in-law, John Eastman, has passed away. Having known each other for over 50 years it is an extremely sad time for me, and our families.
John was a great man. One of the nicest and smartest people I have had the good luck to have known in my life.
He hates the attention, but I’d like to thank the quite brilliant
@samjokell
for his work on
@thebeatles
#whitealbum
. He continues the legacy of extraordinary engineers that have worked with the band. And he’s one of my favourite people x
@Macca15Paul
@BeatlesEarth
I love the fact the once actually answered this there’s still debate. I promise I haven’t made this up, I have the takes, also there are a few more important things happening in the world
#GivePeaceAChance
I was truly touched and amazed by the depth of compassion
@strawberryfield
. They do everything they can do allow extraordinary but challenged individuals lead normal working lives. A perfect legacy for the place that inspired

There was, there is and forever will be only four Beatles. If we are talking about a Game of Thrones Beatles dynasty I’d probably be 176th. Only after shooting someone on the toilet with a crossbow.
Last day working with the brilliant
@TaronEgerton
for
#Rocketman
. It’s been 18 months of happiness, thank you my friend for your amazing talent and patience with my occasional ineptitude
This is my best mate Dean who’s beautiful wife April passed away on Christmas Eve three years ago. Please send him love. He’s one of the finest guitar players in the world but more importantly one of the finest human beings. All you need is love ❤️
I work on sound, I work on music, but never The Sound of Music… this is because I have a strong “no lederhosen” clause due to my Austro-German appearance
Last night was my last day of work on
#Rocketman
. I’m so proud of what we’ve accomplished. From starting with
@TaronEgerton
@AbbeyRoad
18 months ago the film finally lands in 18 months. I’ve made some friend for life along the way, none more special than
@Dexfletch
. ❤️
Of all the things I’ve done, being on the
@TailendersPod
was the most nerve wracking. I truly love this pod, it keeps me sane during insane moments and makes me smile when life is grey. I’m just upset that there’s now a episode that I won’t listen as I’m on it!
A really special episode this week.
We have
@mashupmartin
on to discuss his work on the new
@thebeatles
releases. The latest is a pretty incredible version of ‘Revolver’.
We talk The Beatles, his dad, General Cricketing Sadness and more.
Go well!! 🍏
Last night I was honoured to pick up
#MusicBiz2019
award for my dad. Thanks to everyone for their support. Wonderful to meet
@peterframpton
a man who embodies the spirit of music and
@dariusrucker
a man who gives everything back to the world around him.
Congratulations to all involved in the ‘Let It Be’ reissue which has been nominated for Best Reissue at the

The incredible new mix by Giles Martin (
@mashupmartin
) and Sam Okell (
@samjokell
) was then half-speed mastered by
@Miles_Showell
at Abbey Road.
I’m so sorry to hear about the passing of Bernard Cribbins. He was a lovely man. I asked him to perform “Hole in the Ground” at a memorial for my dad, he was so brilliant, so professional and so funny. RIP Bernie x
Thanks for the question. We decided to pan the drums and the bass as George is playing acoustic and singing live. With drums and bass in the centre George’s voice doesn’t ‘float’ in the same beautiful way as it should do for the song. It’s all about how the music makes you feel.
We are all overwhelmed by the horrors of what we are seeing unfold on our tv screens. We can only pray that everybody takes a step back and pauses to
#givepeaceachance
, I’d like to thank the
@RFU
for their support in playing John and Yoko’s anthem for peace in their stadiums.
Life should be cherished, the fact that Billy is still with us should be celebrated. He epitomises life in his humour, his compassion, the energy he brings. Me and dad once had the pleasure of recording him, he was a true gent and a great musician.
