โค๏ธOnto dating: AI is stepping in & it's gross ๐Ÿคฎ. New AI tools act as dating co-pilots, but is THIS a solution to something sh*tty? Check out this short film โ€œSightโ€ which depicts a dystopian view of AI in dating & let's think about the implications.

๐Ÿ” Generative AI is drastically changing the web. As @verge highlights, content is being gobbled up & sometimes misused by AI. This poses challenges, but also magnifies how tech giants profited from all of our user-generated content๐Ÿ“ˆ. Let's shake up the old web!๐Ÿ”„

Some real talk in here. Consistency, effort and patience are still underrated and Pat is living proof that it takes you further than you realise.

โ€œYou are only successful because of your audience." When I started, I had: - Less than 100 followers - $50K in debt - 2 failed startups - No team - No rich parents - No mentors - A FT job I hated - A side project making $0 - A mind full of self-doubt We all start somewhere.

Words I misspell 10 times out of 10 every time I type it: โœจ hierarchy โœจ I'm staring at it now and I'm still not 100% on this after just correcting myself in another document.

Hey Twitter, I'm doing a "speed marketing" live stream at 7pm AEDT - link to it is here: https://t.co/HKt9xlRN4Z What's that? I went and asked a startup group if I can pick on them and see what I can turn around pitch/collateral/assets/strategy-wise by just looking online.

8/8 This book is a reminder that we need to argue and debate on merit to reach a better place. If we can't do that, we're all doomed. Period. I haven't read any other opinions on the book yet, so am keen to dive in now. Thanks @waitbutwhy ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป #bookreview

๐ŸŽ“6/8 The section on US academia was particularly alarming, showing how contesting political ideas has become increasingly difficult. The book emphasizes that without debate, we can't progress. #academia #FreeSpeech

5/8 It's a manual for unpacking group-think, tribalism, and challenging our own bubbles. It helped me see opposing political views with more compassion and understand their importance.

๐Ÿ“š4/8 The book introduces concepts like high-rung vs low-rung thinking, the digital cudgel, and the marketplace of ideas. This makes it easier to absorb and navigate complex issues. The concepts are easy to absorb and it gives the King Mustache side-story DEPTH ๐Ÿ”ฅ

๐Ÿข3/8 Urban shares examples from various sectors where nuanced points are oversimplified and people lose their jobs. My own biases were caught up in this too - like the case of the Google engineer who released an internal memo.

๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ2/8 While the book is US-centric, the issues discussed still resonate globally. It dives deep into social justice "fundamentalism" and the focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion. A bold move that unearths some uncomfortable truths. #socialjustice
