Teaching sedimentary petrology last quarter was SO FUN. And now when students come to pick up their assignments, I get to give them crinoid stem fragments I picked up over winter break, and a few of them are showing me rocks that they got over break too 🥹.

After many months and many more discoveries (remember the sulfur rocks?), my latest drives have taken me out of Gediz Vallis channel, an area my team thinks once held flowing water on Mars. Now, I’m driving parallel to its rim. Let’s see what I find.

Paraclimbing is in for LA28 (yay!!) but I was talking to a guy on the US paraclimbing team and he says that there might be as few as THREE medals allotted per gender??? For PARAclimbing???? At IFSC paraclimbing competitions there are usually around 10 disability classes. .
