Some issues may take longer to resolve, such as finally landing charging reform, but we know now how to do many urgent things now - sustain and grow our workforce, tackle the funding gap, and build more choice for people.
@MelanieNottsDA is scheduled to appear on @BBCWomansHour at 10am, and her comments are running on the BBC where she emphasises any delay will be to the detriment of people’s health and wellbeing:

This is shameful. We have seen at least 17 white papers, green papers and state reviews of social-care funding this century. Now @wesstreeting is kicking reform into the long grass with another review. We know the issues. We need urgent action

The first steps to creating a National Care Service are announced - but critics say the pace of the plan "feels far too long".

💚 As 2024 draws to a close, we take a look back at a historic year for the Green Party, and look ahead to what we want to achieve in 2025.

I’m Professor Robert Howard, a clinical academic psychiatrist in London. I’m calling for the immediate release of Dr Hassam Abu Safiya and all other medical and allied health professionals from Gaza currently detained by Israeli forces.
My name is Dr. Neena Jha. I am a family doctor. I am calling for the immediate release of Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya. He was abducted by the Israeli forces. I am calling for protection of hospitals and medical workers in Gaza. And an end to the genocide. #FreeDrHussamAbuSafiya

Todays appointments by Labour and Conservatives is stark proof that it is often the very worst people who do well and get rewarded in life!

1,410 entire Palestinian families exterminated by Israel. From babies and teenagers to parents to great grandparents. If one extended family was wiped out in Britain, it would be headline news for weeks. It’s happened 1,410 times in Gaza, with a much smaller population.
The Gaza Health Ministry has just announced that Israel has completely wiped out 1410 families from the roots in Gaza since the start of Israel's genocidal campaign.

The Labour Party needs to stop bullying people and start investing what we know works to support people into employment
🧵 Yesterday, the work and pensions secretary Liz Kendall announced reforms to reduce economic inactivity and boost employment. The govt plans to transform Job Centres into a genuine employment service, that properly supports people to get back into work. Here's our take ⬇ 1/8

The govt need to put £8bn into social care immediately and then begin to reform the service and its long term funding based in the veiws of those who use the service, those who care for them and those who work in it. But they will not do this

Has @RachelReevesMP mentioned any comprehensive funding reform for adult social care in the budget yet?

Here is a young man like any other. He had hopes, dreams, fears, worries. His crime? Being a Palestinian born in Gaza. His last hideous moments on earth: being burned alive by an Israeli missile while attached to an IV drip. Don’t look away

Still silence from @wesstreeting on these issues👇, underling the shamefully low priority given to citizens with learning disabilities
Straight from Lord Darzi #NHS report today. We are failing people with learning disabilities. Read that ⬇️ only 4 in 10 reach their 65th birthday, and we are still locking up autistics (including children) 2000 + for years. How long will it go on, @wesstreeting? We are dying.

I expect every decent Labour MP to vote against the removal of the winter fuel allowance. An abstention is withdrawing your vote and does not count. We've had 14 years of this. We're not gonna stand for any more.
