Thanks to all our elected representatives who made the case for the retention of stroke services at Bronglais as we know them in the Senedd last week. And especially those who were able to travel there and lobby AS’s and the Protect Bronglais Services group. The battle goes on.

Bronglais Hospital is at the heart of Mid Wales. Cutting its services means cutting care for our communities. We say no to these short-sighted decisions.

Biased as I am,despite the gales and rain our Ynyslas Nature Hub was open today for walkers and visitors. This remains a tribute to the Borth Community Hub who stepped in when NRW retreated and the old Visitor Centre closed.Real community activism for an essential community asset

Happy Birthday Lord Roger Roberts (belatedly)Ninety a couple of days ago. A great friend to Ceredigion Liberal Democrats and huge support to me in my years as Ceredigion’s MP. A friend to me too since we first met 40 years ago at the Welsh Liberal Conference in 1985 in Llandudno.

Some lovely artwork in the exhibition at the Star of the Sea in Borth on Friday night. Much of the work on show was produced by the Borth Community Hub’s Dementia Support Group which meets every Monday in the Hub between 10 am and noon. Thanks to all involved.

I’ve always enjoyed campaigning in Aberporth, and today campaigning for Sandra Jervis’s Senedd campaign with Tom Hughes, was no exception. I’ve had some marvellous friends in Aberporth over the years and it was nice to catch up with some of them once again today.
