It is sad that so many Protestants are looking outside of or beyond their own traditions for a better political theology than their Boomer parents. If only more Protestants would look back a bit further in history for a political theology in keeping with their traditions...
A paragraph that perfectly sums up the present shift away from dispensationalism in younger generations, from @tlloydcline. https://t.co/q7IKOwjf95

Put a new moral standard and a new moral motive into a human heart, and it will unconsciously affect all it touches. Spontaneously and inevitably, Christian conversion will bring change. For example, a Christian woman will make a home sweet and Christian, even if she has no

Conscious obstinance, however, is something up with which good pastors will not put.

Pastors on the ground know that theology and practice is messy sometimes, and they usually learn to be patient with foolishness and immaturity even as they work toward wisdom and growth.
As I grow older, I am more and more mindful of how many theological fights are started on Twitter by people who’ve never pastored a congregation.

If sharp Christian theologians only complain about and ridicule the imprecise theology of influential Christians in politics, business, and media, then they won't be able to help them become more precise. And it seems kind of dumb to me... all due respect to Denny (sincerely).

Each of these examples highlights distinct American values, unique American experiences, and praiseworthy American culture. My fellow Americans, you have a culture that’s worth knowing, worth embodying, and worth celebrating.

The Patriot focuses on one particular American widower with a young family and many employees to support through his land and acumen. He is reluctantly drawn into the Revolutionary War, but he becomes passionately and skillfully devoted to the American cause.

The Rifleman is an old TV series that follows the hardships and perseverance of Lucas McCain (and his son, Mark). McCain is the quintessential American settler, not only carving out his own ordered home and land, but also doing good for his townsmen.

Quigley Down Under follows an American cowboy with grit, virtue, skill, and strength. Tom Selleck’s character in this movie embodies American ideals and culture.

For those who think America has no culture, here are some examples of American culture in movies and TV shows that capture it.

Jeff Wiesner confirms, I am "very Baptist." All those who know and love me agree!
@KniqhtRider Calling or appointing is even better language. @marcminter is very Baptist and wrote a thoughtful piece on this: https://t.co/ummww7IM0g

TV trays and fast food on the go should be intentionally avoided by fathers who want to build family cohesion and love. Get around the dinner table, make everyone put away everything, and force your wife and kids to enjoy some time together.

"We encourage Missouri Baptist churches to align their practice and terminology with this theological clarity and integrity." Amen! And all Southern Baptists as well!
This is excellent! I'm especially glad to see Key Theological Finding 3 and 6. Good job, Missouri Baptists! https://t.co/576R91iCJc

I'm not for demographic/identity politics... I think it's a disintegrating acid for any nation comprised of multiple ethnicities... but I'm hardly surprised that white Americans are becoming increasingly concerned and hostile toward the rise of an anti-white coalition.
Zohran: "This movement was made by Yemeni bodega owners, Mexica Abuelas, Senegalese taxi drivers, Uzbek nurses, Trinidadian line cooks, and Ethiopian aunties."

Where are Protestants doing stuff like this? I'd love to see it.

Blake is right, and churches with committees can eliminate them with patience and wisdom. I don't think every church must eliminate committees, but they sure can. Here's how we did it at my church. https://t.co/r7RxkmdVJe

Of course! But not all need to be eliminated, and some might need to be created.
PSA concerning church leadership: the Bible nowhere teaches committees. The two biblical offices are elders/overseers (one time they are called shepherd-teachers) and deacons.

Because of the natural vulnerability of women, I think single ladies would do well to invite godly men to help them evaluate the character of males who interest them. Dads are probably best here, but other godly men among a local church can help.
