You don’t always know what the response will be when you share your perspectives on “sensitive” and “off-limits” topics. I took a shot at sharing mine here with the @globeandmail, and have been grateful for the many positive responses so far (1/3) https://t.co/wm0QjwZmmo

Today my incredible partner @wearfigs Co-Founder and Co-CEO @heatherhasson and I became the first female Co-Founders & Co-CEOs to take a company public. Today we're ringing in a new era of female entrepreneurship. Because women can and will do great things together. #FIGSIPO

I owe a special thanks to @kirstenagreen @aileenlee for first inspiring me to join this industry; and to the many female founders that have inspired me and continue to inspire me, but here are a few from the piece @trinaspear @heatherhasson @WhitWolfeHerd @kmlake @jogriffiths

If I have in any way opened the door to more open conversations, I will count this as a step forward in increasing female representation in #VentureCapital - in the women we invest in and in the women writing the checks. @chrissyfarr @LauraLenz @andrewkblack @AllRaise (2/3)

Thank you, @manibanani, for writing this in today's @globeandmail. "We need more transparency. Rather than automatically seeing a pregnant founder as a risk or concern, I challenge my VC peers to engage in open conversations." cc. @chrissyfarr @LauraLenz

Glad to share perspectives here with @LauraLenz. Super well written @manibanani - and congrats on your impending arrival 👶. The topic of pregnancy & leave is so often relegated to closed door conversations. Personal stories matter.

It's not lost on me that our board and investors (like @witheiler), who have nearly $200M invested in this company, encouraged me to take on the CEO role at 8 months pregnant. I know this kind of support is not common in many companies—we need to change that. (3/4)
