It's surprising how slow Google's been around this. If they had an SEO advisory panel of us technical SEOs the spam out there would get absolutely crushed lol.
@dropthatdoge @JohnMu @lilyraynyc Google has been working on that algorithmically (via its 'starkly different' system/algo), but they also have a specific spam policy for that (manual actions for sites violating that policy).

An autonomous @rivr_tech delivery robot being tested in Pittsburgh. Snow, ice, hills and stairs everywhere: it was genuinely feeling dangerous as a human to go outside at times. Really a great stress test for the robots.

If @Google sues @searchapi_io successfully it opens itself up to a class action lawsuit on the grounds of using copyright content without expressed consent resulting in losses in Overviews. Past cases allowed Google to scrape via bots so we can only assume the same for Search API

It’s more of a red flag to agency owners when business owners are chasing emotional quick wins over long term growth. Passionate about growing is great but selling out your brand for a few months high is not a good idea. Too many technical audits look this way.

It would be good if there was a common protocol of reporting. @Microsoft and @Google respectfully would look at robots.txt. @OpenAI, @AnthropicAI @perplexity_ai and @xai need to respect this also. If not update the robots.txt via @w3c

In early technology adoption, one has to lean on customer experience and where things are going. Consumer products are pulled from blatantly obvious affiliate marketing media sources. @google and @OpenAI don't give the option to flag bad sources. @OpenAI is better of the two.
