Just finished the main story for expedition 33. Wow, just wow. I’ve been looking for good games in the modern era that fit my taste and i now understand why everyone wants it as GOTY

Of another way to describe it. After his turn i was able to win the game. I want to say thank you to the judges who had to deal with the situation and i personally want to apologize to every player that had to sit through round 6 for that much additional time.

After i finished my turn he proceeded to slow play our remaining time alloted to us as he had nothing (confirmed by a friend after the match watching from his perspective) just to waste more time. My opponent acted in a way i would call “petty” as i can’t think

In deck and when i went to count cards left he got aggressive and i had to request a judge count cards left as i had an iono in hand and could potentially play an iono for deckout scenario if necessary. He then asked a judge to count my deck which had roughly 45 cards left.

Discard pile face down as if it was his deck and presented it to me as if i needed to cut it. I flipped it back over and handed it to him. This was two turns before the judge call. Once we finally began to play again I attempted to see how many cards where left

Documented. During game 2 he attempted to attach a second energy to his pokemon and i told him he already attached to the active solrock and he paused for about 30 seconds then returned the second energy to hand. The last instance was he attempted to use a boss

During game 1 he attempted to use lunatone’s ability without discarding a fighting energy. I called a judge over to make sure it was documented. I thought this situation was reasonable as he also had a fez available to use but was making sure that the gameplay error was

Now that i am home i wanted to take some time to address a situation that happened to me during round 6 of vegas. I played against Julio Meza Sahagun. This player tried to cheat multiple times during our match and caused us to have a 40 minute judge call after time was called.

One thing I don’t share a lot is the journey to improving Des Moines’s retro collection. While we’re okay with using proxies, being so close to getting 0 proxies is very exciting! We’re almost 95% real cards! Next big retro event is in the works…
