UK Supreme Court just ruled that law defines women as people born biologically female. This is a huge win for women, men, and sanity in the UK and the West. Now every country needs to get onboard and recognize in law what is a woman. Congratulations to UK women!

Today is National ASP day!!! One of the themes this year is sextortion. Please watch the video blow which can be useful for patients being harmed by sextortion
Sextortion can happen to both men and women. To avoid becoming a victim, remain cautious while using the internet, stay in control of what you do, and never be pressurised into sharing sexual content if someone asks. Watch the video below to find out more. #ASPD2024

Brilliant research by @brainkinduk on the prevalence of brain injuries in survivors of #DomesticAbuse. #TooManyToCount 'When a victim seeks help, its imperative frontline staff understand not only the impact of trauma and abuse, but also the potential for brain injury.'
Good to see @Independent featuring our research into brain injury amongst people who have experienced domestic abuse @MayaOppenheim Read our full report here https://t.co/FwQKMi55FG

Oh good grief @VictoriaAtkins. What is your point here? Autistic people and people with learning disabilities are much more likely to be harmed than they are to harm. It’s risk averse clinicians who are the problem here not their patients!
The Judge who delivered sentences against abusive social care staff at Whorlton Hall said it was an "unpredictable and inherently frightening place to live." It's time the Government closed down such inpatient units detaining autistic people & people with learning disabilities.

Our new treaty monitoring report on the Istanbul Convention looks at Scottish laws, policies and practices which aim to prevent and combat violence against women👇 https://t.co/uom0rJkndt
