Asheville lifted its boil water notice ‼️ Massive thank you to the City's Water Department, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers', and so many others who worked tirelessly to make this happen.

On a positive note, this fall has turned into one of the most beautiful foliage seasons I’ve seen in the valleys around Asheville. The recent dry, cool nights + warm afternoons have drawn out more reds than normal!

🧵 The wind damage northeast of Asheville is unfathomable... With all of the trails closed, I journeyed up to a quiet overlook that I knew would be open. I've seen footage of this area since the storm, but I wasn't prepared for how bad it truly is.

We just got water in Asheville, 19 days after Hurricane Helene. It’s brown and you can’t drink it yet, but once the impurities are flushed out it will be fine. The city has done an amazing job repairing catastrophic damage. Pipes 30-40 feet underground were destroyed.

𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙣𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙢𝙖𝙙𝙚! At 1 a.m. Thursday, 𝙏&𝙆 𝙐𝙩𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙚𝙨 connected North Fork's 36-inch bypass line to the water system. This is a big milestone - but more work before customers will start receiving water. We are grateful to have this first step completed!

This is my soccer bar. I may have written up my contract with the NWSLPA here, although a leap of faith and trust ended up being stronger than words on paper. I watched (and maybe cursed) the last expansion draft here. Asheville’s strength is why it’s fitting home to NWSLPA HQ.
