I am holding in my hands what is (I believe) the first ever Greek-English edition of Origen's Contra Celsum. This massive 750-pager will go to print soon! Excellent editorial work, @Ljhodgson_

That work of such astonishing breadth, clarity and brilliance โ the Summa Theologiae of St Thomas Aquinas โ depicted in a chart. I suppose I need one for the wall of my study @ChCh_Oxford.
my friends, it is time: in conjunction with @avemariapress and a new book they released, i spent the last few months illustrating the entire structure of the summa theologica, by thomas aquinas. in my shop here: https://t.co/7BXaOV3Uv7 can i show and tell you, in this thread:

Love this! The distance the eye is forced to move is drastically reduced. The standard diglot version is fine for those who are closer to fluent, but if this is a stretch text for you, this will be much more comfortable.
In response to your feedback on the proofs, Lux Patrum has reworked our Latin-English edition of Augustine's De Trinitate to a two-column format with a larger font size. I think it turned out quite well! It'll be published in a few days.

These guys are the coolest new thing in theology/philosophy publishing by a country mile!
Too few people have read the works of the great Nicholas of Cusa โ partly because Jasper Hopkins's excellent translations have long been unavailable. Lux Patrum is bringing them back into print along with the critical Latin text. Pick up a copy at https://t.co/uazhnt0bVy.

Some time ago I translated a couple of Asterius of Cappadocia's beautiful homilies on the Psalms into English. If someone would like to translate more of these homilies for Lux Patrum... https://t.co/a5e6Wu4R0a

I'm pretty sure that ChatGPT and Google's AI Overview have been co-opted by sedevacantists. How else to explain the denial that there is such a pope as Leo XIV?

How generous of Lux Patrum Publishing to take the suggested changes and turn them into accessible editions! I cannot wait to buy it! BTW, it was Augustine "De Trinitate" that finally pushed my desire to study theology into applying for theology programmes.
Thanks very much for your comments on these proofs! We've made two changes: (i) the font size has been increase, and (ii) the format has been changed to two columns/page to make navigating between Latin and English easier. Here's a pdf sample.

Honestly, David Bentley Hart is dead wrong, Rรฉginald Garrigou-Lagrange is a wonderful theologian. A serious study of Hans Urs von Balthasarโs positive engagement with Matthias Joseph Scheeben will also show how much intellectual commerce there was between more Lagrangian
Fr. Garrigou-Lagrange: โHere we see a fact profoundly noted by St. Augustine in Confessions 1.1 where he says, โLord, our heart is restless until it rests in thee.โ Who among us has not noticed this fact in the depths of his or her life? If we are sick, we naturally desire

Occasionally our printer makes errors, and we're working to rectify that situation. In the meantime, I'd be deeply grateful if you reached out to me prior to writing a review that reflects errors in printing rather than problems on the publisher's end. :-)

Friends, if you ever receive a Lux Patrum book that contains printing errors, please reach out to me about it (nathan@luxpatrum.com). I'll refund the cost of the book and send you a new copy of it. Heck, I'll even throw in a free book of your choosing.

I just got one of our editors started on a Greek-English edition of Athanasius's Letters to Serapion on the Holy Spirit. It will include Shapland's excellent translation and learned notes, together with the Athanasius Werke version of the Greek text.
