A #lupus diagnosis can be frightening and isolating. Connecting with others who understand what you are experiencing can help. The Lupus Northern Ireland Support Group exists to bring people with the condition together.

The JCVI has issued a recommendation that COVID-19 booster vaccines should be offered to people at higher risk of severe disease from coronavirus infection this winter (including #lupus). We'll update our website to answer your questions shortly. https://t.co/aqzM9JTt8c

With restrictions being eased, we urge everyone to consider those who are still clinically extremely vulnerable (like people with #lupus) and those who aren't protected by the vaccine.

Delyth (who has #lupus) spoke to @BBCNews about feeling abandoned as COVID restrictions are lifted. Many immunosuppressed people have less protection from vaccines. We must be aware of those who are more at risk and continue to protect them. #WearAMask https://t.co/yNFXrmsyIO

Today is #WorldKidneyDay. The #kidneys are one of the most commonly affected organs in people with #lupus and early stages tend to have no obvious symptoms. It is important that urine is monitored regularly by a doctor. https://t.co/eDohShvvi7

This is shocking. Most people with lupus are diagnosed and treated by Rheumatologists, to have to wait SIX years for a first appointment allows a lot of time for damage to be done to the body that could be avoided by easily available medication.

We've updated our info & guidance about #lupus and #COVID19Vaccines: https://t.co/5p3YjRSlDD There has been some confusion and misinformation regarding the AstraZeneca vaccine. We want to provide reassurance that this vaccine is considered safe for people on immunosuppressants.
