Dear Jordan,. Every Mother’s day since you were ripped away from us, I daydream about all the time we never got to spend and the life that I and countless other gun violence survivors would have had if things turned out differently. On a day like today, we might’ve all gone out

After my son Jordan was murdered, we fought for justice. My son's killer is now serving a life sentence. This is not how we show our gratitude to our law enforcement and their families for their service.

Members of law enforcement laid their lives on the line to protect American democracy on Jan 6. Now, these officers and their families live with the knowledge that their violent attackers have been set free. I know the fear & pain that comes with losing a loved one to violence.

For too many Georgia families, health care is out of reach. This statement is disappointing. Georgians deserve better.

Kemp unequivocally rules out a full-scale expansion of Medicaid during the rest of his second term as governor as he pursues a more limited program that could add parents and legal guardians of young children to the rolls. #gapol

My heart is broken by the news of the passing of former President Jimmy Carter. President Carter was a giant of immense compassion and integrity, who faithfully spent his life serving the people of Georgia and the nation. I’m praying for his family at this time.

I’ve spent the last 12 Thanksgivings without my son Jordan. Because on this day in 2012, Jordan was shot and killed while “playing loud music.”. Gun violence survivors know the pain of losing a loved one never leaves you - especially over the holidays. So as I spend time this

Jordan, my fight has always been for you. You were ripped away, so I stood up to prevent senseless gun violence. @GaRepublicans drew maps to kick me out of Congress, but tonight, we made sure their schemes failed again. To everyone who believed in me and joined me in this

All across Atlanta, volunteers are hitting the ground with us to get the vote out!. This week, we brought them donuts to a local field office. From the bottom of my heart, thank you to everyone who has pitched in their time to get the word out. ❤️

Georgia’s families send their kids to school each day wondering if it will be their last. Children cry out in classrooms for change because gun violence will not stop until their leaders are brave enough to act. We MUST answer their calls for change.

Last week, I stood on stage at the Democratic Convention and called for an end to the violence. We, as elected officials, have the power to stop it. We just need the courage.

I am praying for the students of Apalachee High School and the community of Winder. I am praying for families across our state and entire country. Too many continue to experience the pain of gun violence. No family should have to go through this.
