New York for @mikey_richie84’s 40th birthday was incredible… meals at 3* @LeBernardinNY, 1* Cote Korean Steakhouse, @KatzsDeli, and a ton of walking around the city. Plus ice hockey - New York Rangers vs Ottawa Senators @TheGarden 😍

Had so much fun helping to judge the best steaks in the world at @WSteakChallenge in Amsterdam this week. My fourth year of judging, and my first year as a panel chair. Four amazing rounds covering fillet, sirloin, ribeye + Wagyu steaks - a perfect couple of days 🥩

Had such fun visiting @BlacklockChops London this week on a press trip. I’ve been a big fan of those superb chops and steaks and beef dripping chips and frankly obscenely good gravy for years - it will be such a good addition to Manchester when it opens in September 😍🥩

Thank you @MChefCaroline for inviting me and @mikey_richie84 to try the new Sampa menu at Calcio NQ. Such fun! Especially enjoyed the @Littlewoods_HC ex-dairy cow barbecued ribeye 😍

Really enjoyed the preview dinner event for Tender by @keatingniall1 at @StockExHotel. The space looks great, and Niall has a good vision for the restaurant. It opens on 5th June

Loved interviewing chef Gabe Lea about Maya Manchester for The Caterer. What a menu! Still dreaming about the pear tatin - whole cored out pear stuffed with cinnamon stick, star anise + vanilla pod, wrapped in puff pastry + rolled in cinnamon sugar, served with calvados caramel😍

Absolutely thrilled to try chef Ryan Stafford’s Great British Menu 2024 dishes at Fold Bistro in Marple Bridge with @mikey_richie84 last night - what a wonderful evening ❤️

Had such a fun sunny weekend in Anglesey with @mikey_richie84. We walked a lot - along the Isle of Anglesey Coastal Path from Nant Bychan to Red Wharf Bay yesterday, and today a walk through Newborough Forest to Llanddwyn Beach. Walked about 20 miles in total. Gorgeous weekend 😍

Loved judging at the British Pie Awards this week - my 10th year as a judge, and my fourth year as a class leader. 900 pies to be judged - and I got to judge the “Beef & Alcohol Pie” class (my two favourite food groups 🤣) - everything from steak + ale to braised beef + red wine

I always wanted to do kick boxing as a child in the early 80s. But wasn’t allowed. So now I’m paying for lessons in my mid-40s 🤣

March is a fun month for food judging! I’m judging pies at the British Pie Awards @BritishPies in Melton Mowbray tomorrow, then meat at @q_guildbutchers in Glasgow next week 😍🥧🥩.

It’s a hearty main course but, like a true glutton, I ordered it as a starter to share with @mikey_richie84 because we couldn’t go to @HawksmoorTweets and not have a steak. Also, it meant a double portion of chips, always a win. Well played, Hawksmoor ❤️.
