Although this impacts every AI assistant/chatbot, it's particularly awful on X because its experiment, by design, exists to reform the very idea of facts by leaning into self-defined, self-evidenced personal truths. It's an information sewage pipeline. https://t.co/mKuL1grOIl

Chatbots are proven harmful to humans (see: Joseph Weizenbaum and ELIZA) when left to run amok. AI assistants like Grok, trained off a plethora of data including tweets, and programmed to not "regurgitate liberal bias" is an information collapse crisis playing out in real time.
That's extremely awful and mendacious. @grok is making up falsehoods to smear me. I don't even have a Facebook account. There's nothing I did on Oct7th & I don't belong to any political party. This is deeply disturbing, not because of me, but because of the outright lies in it

We are two years away from Silicon Valley reinventing the bar — much like Uber tried to reinvent buses (remember) and Tesla tried to reinvent the subway tunnel — and it’s, like, just go to a bar with pals. Tell them to bring their friends. Mingle! Chat! Drink! Be young and merry!

Saw this in relation to another tweet that was like “guys we have to start asking our friends to set us up.” This exists!!! All the time!! And it’s easier during a bar hang. I know Gen Z doesn’t drink. But I promise you a few beers is way more healthy than social isolation.

Whole Ackman “may I meet you” thing is funny and whatever — and clearly already a meme in San Francisco, which is par for the lame course — and I am glad that people who may not have had a willingness to talk to someone is finding a way. But my god, folks: go to a fucking bar.

We have a group chat dedicated to Flighty. And, I can’t say this enough, my friends do use it to track each other’s flights. “Find My Friends” meets air travel is unsurprisingly delightful.

The thing about The Lord of the Rings is that it’s still the greatest film trilogy every produced. Thank you for reading this groundbreaking film analysis, conducted aboard a flight where I decided to “fuck it, why not” the trilogy again.

Lastly: the hook for microdramas is the acting is bad, the story is worse, but it’s addictive slop. That means it might make more sense for disrupters ready to lean on genAI. And this doesn’t even get into the union problems if this gets big enough. Costs will skyrocket — or

Co’s absolutely need to figure out short form. And they need to find a way to do it that doesn’t harm brand long run. That’s much harder to rebuild when it’s gone. But in-app payments and gimmicky freemium gaming economics don’t even work for most new games. And like games,

All anyone wants to talk about is microdramas — they’re big in China, growing here, and streamers are watching the numbers Google and Meta post about short form content revenue while green with envy and sick from FOMO. But do the economics make sense for trad players? New from
