Nancy did NOT become her mom. The aspect of her mom she criticized was settling down with a man she may not love & having kids. Nancy is doing the opposite of settling for anything: ditching college to chase her dream job. A similar hairstyle doesn’t mean she’s like her mom now.

I miss when tv shows didn’t treat their audience like idiots. When they focused on showing rather than telling. The Mentalist did that so well esp with jisbon. All the times their actions spoke for how much they loved each other. There’s really nothing like that.

I know this is silly in the grand scheme of things, but I feel so lucky that the people I’m closest to DON’T do this. I watch a lot of TV with my parents, my friends (gen z and millennials), I used to with my ex,and NONE of us are on our phones. We pay full attention to the TV 🙏
Had roommates that had never seen Die Hard so I decided to watch it with them. The entire movie they're doing chores and on their phones. At the end of the movie, one of them said "I didn't like it." I asked him "why did the bad guys hold the building hostage?"...

this is such a problem, especially because it gets in the way of empathy! If you can’t put yourself in someone else’s shoes for two seconds, it becomes harder to have empathy for anyone who thinks differently than you…and it bleeds into real life.
You guys do so much projection on movie and TV show characters. To the point where you can't even enjoy media with all its beautiful layers because you're so hung up on the fact that the characters don't act like you, do what you do or think like you do.

Terrible over-correction to have all NBCU folks in the turret. Select a housewife, a gamer, and a random as the traitors, so that their interests are not aligned. Causes drama, prevents steamrolls. There, I fixed it. I’ll send my consulting invoice later today. #TheTraitorsUS

Now why is Lost catching strays? 😭 Lost actually did answer pretty much every single question, and successfully tied it all thematically. It has a near-perfect ending with only a few very small flaws. This narrative that the finale is bad came from people who misunderstood it.
1) Accepting that the Duffers would never land this plane in a way that satisfies all plotlines, answers every ?, & ties it all thematically. There's simply TOO much going, TOO many characters, and the hype is TOO high for that to happen. I'm an OG Lost Fan, i've seen this happen
