I understand that it is part of our rules of professional conduct as legal practitioners to charge a certain percentage for property transactions; however, from an economic view, a percentage-based model should be tiered or capped above certain amounts.
A lawyer took 300k to do land documentation for a property of 70M. The same client had consulted me before, and I said it's 10% or nothing by our Rule. The Client later came to tell me that that lawyer said if hunger wire me, I will keep the rule by the side. Lmao. Very shameful
