I gotta say, one of my favorite things about getting into Neighbours is the Australian accent itself. In particular, the linguistic magic they perform by putting 3-4 syllables into the word “no.” The only American I know who can do that is Reba McEntire.

The rare times they do, it’s with a plot device. Finn making video diaries, Nanny “Alice” justifying her evil plans to baby Hugo plans, etc.
