Our paper on cdk8/CDK19 with great collaborators Jenny and @EstherVerheyen has finally been published in Nature Communications after a long revision process (one and a half years). Please check it out !👇
Delighted to share our paper that was published today - great collaboration between my lab and Hyung-lok Chung (@lokhee7), Hugo Bellen, Oguz Kanca and others. This has been a huge achievement for my PhD student Jenny Liao and technician Claire Shih. 🎉🍾 https://t.co/oTb4FWx6PS

Everyone wants scientists to dare and think big but the career advice scientists actually get are always super risk averse: "make sure you pass the committee in flying colors" (so break your story down to small papers, don't set difficult goals in your research proposal, etc.)

So, in our recent editorial, @cleaverlab, @Lab_VPrince, and I pointed out the obvious: WE are the ones letting peer review destroy the future of academic biology. So, what can we do differently? Here's one idea in a very short 🧵 1/6 https://t.co/q3y0jjRPDC
