What a great shame - This historic lodge on the north-rim was lost to a vicious wildfire
A tragic loss of the Grand Canyon Lodge at the North Rim in the Dragon Bravo Fire. The rustic lodge was completed in 1937 after the original 1928 inn burned down in 1932.

Has it is Glastonbury weekend i thought i would indulge a tad, i can remember it well, has it was a phenomenal time with a couple of life-long friends.
It's @glastonbury 50th year, i went their in the late 80's and again in 1994 ~ @itspetergabriel and @ElvisCostello on the Pyramid stage, there was a relatively well known band called @oasis on the @NMEstage singing "Supersonic" it gets me even now - i still got ticket's too

The light was fading, proberly spent a little to much time enjoying ice cold @DuBrasserie beers at a friendly little pop-up mountain bar - 1989 the last time i skiied the Les Grand Montets in Chamonix a couple of locals said it's the best snow in 10 years in the Mont Blanc region

The 🍑 are a little early this year, I gave some of them a quick squeeze and think another week or so - then the juice will be running down my chin. My neighbor gave me a sapling a few years ago. And believe the brand is called Red Star. 😋
