Check out my new paper in The Cryosphere evaluating satellite methods for detecting supraglacial lake depth. Big uncertainties question our confidence in large-scale lake volume calculations across the ice sheets ->. #WomenInSTEM #STEM #Greenland #PhD.

Abstract. Supraglacial lakes form on the Greenland ice sheet in the melt season (May to October) when meltwater collects in surface depressions on the ice. Supraglacial lakes can act as a control on...

Ever used the radiative transfer equation before? How about ICESat-2 and ArcticDEM? We've got it all, so do yourself a favour and have a gander at our new preprint in The Cryosphere👇👇.

Finally got round to reading the paper Dr Rosie Willatt (no Twitter it seems) spoke about at the #CPOM2022 conference. Couldn't recommend enough, very insightful with lots of food for thought, give it a read 👉. #womeninscience

Amazing view of the subglacial environment!.
Through drilling, we now gained access to the area below this feature at #Rhonegletscher. We did suspect a cavity but this video surprised us! 🤩 We’ll follow the further developments with excitement, as we have a thought on the implication of such features. Wait for it! 😃

My data is showing exactly what I hoped it would show. I was immediately suspicious and am now frantically trying to figure out what I did wrong to make it work. #phd #phdlife #phdproblems #phdchat #AcademicTwitter.
