I asked @Keir_Starmer many months ago,if a general election was called tomorrow were they ready for Government. His answer was an emphatic YES...and I now see why. Depth of talented Ministers forming an impressive Cabinet....I am beginning to dare to feel hope.

And by the way, since it’s cheaper to produce fast, synthetic music to drop on streaming every week to capitalize on the strengths of the model, watch how the model is preparing you for AI generated music that pays musicians nothing at all.

If we want quality music somebody is gonna have to pay for it. Streaming services don’t pay properly, labels want a bigger cut than ever and just sit and wait for you to go viral, TikTok doesn’t pay properly, and touring is getting prohibitively expensive for most artists.

"We're all absolutely terrified, all the time." The legendary mezzo-soprano Dame Janet Baker, who turned 90 last month, speaks with remarkable honesty of the anxiety and self-doubt that can affect musicians at any stage of their careers. @SaraMohrPietsch #MusicMatters
