Outside my office, little girl clatters into me and falls over.

I'm fine, she says.
That's sort of why we don't run, I say, picking her up.
I wasn't running, she says.
Right, I say.
My horse was, she says.
Of course, I say, well, tell the horse not to run inside.

π€£β€π€£β€ what a cheeky horse. Maybe you could offer some advice next time. Let her know if she is tense at all her horse may think she wants it to go fast even if she doesn't. Let her know to have her heels down, relaxed hands and "seat" and her horse will walk well π€£

Wheras I've just had one walking at periglacial speed and holding everyone one up causing mayhem...not her fault, her tortoise has little legs and can't go any faster.

One lunchtime, a year 2 boy asked me to help him find his motorbike - thinking it was a toy that's what I set off looking for. We went round a corner where he "sat astride" his imaginary motorbike, "revved" his engine and drove off π
