I mentioned in my article today that CPSC is down from five commissioners to two, but that they still have quorum for rule-passing with two. So OF COURSE 10 minutes after I publish it, one of the remaining two announces he is stepping down 🤦‍♀️.

The CPSC has finalized two long-awaited safety standards about water beads and infant neck floats. Meanwhile, the federal agency's fate is still unclear.

This is such a good idea: the public media station near you may not be the one that needs your help the most. Check out "Adopt a Station," a project by ex-NPR staffer Alex Curley

"The wifi is down so my bed isn't working" is unfortunately extremely funny. as is the fact that this $3,000+ mattress pad charges a monthly subscription fee of up to $33/month.
after I stopped laughing, I got curious about how a bed-cooling system would work, so I started researching and I learned:.1) it's basically a glorified waterbed.2) the EightSleep subreddit is an addictive read. you cannot even begin to imagine all the ways this bed malfunctions.

News! A federal judge ruled today in favor of the three previously-fired CPSC commissioners, saying they should be reinstated.
HUGE WIN FOR CONSUMERS: In response to our lawsuit, the court has ordered the Trump admin to allow fired CPSC Commissioners to return to work. These three Commissioners will now be able to return to their vital jobs protecting consumers from dangerous products.
