Lastly, I think it's very important to underline that @GrangemouthJobs have been campaigning to save jobs and create new ones for almost 2 years now and haven't allowed setbacks to let them give up hope. They will rightly celebrate this achievement today.

Today's news on UK government investment and new jobs at MiAlgae in Grangemouth is great. It will be just the start in building our towns new industrial future. I'll continue to fight for this community and make this happen.

Scotland's industry is being decimated while politicians look on. 1000s of good jobs being lost off shore and in our industrial cluster. The fight for jobs continues so add your name to tell the politicians here https://t.co/LtTQlO3NZR

Good to be back in the Parliamentary Labour Party. People can rest assured that I will continue to fight for my constituents’ interests & to improve living standards. This Labour government must change course & govern by real Labour Party values. That's what I'll fight for.

#OnThisDay 1984. Labour leader Neil Kinnock says he is too busy to speak at a series of rallies in support of the #MinersStrike In a letter to Arthur Scargill the Labour leader wrote he was “already fully committed to a series of longstanding engagements which cannot be broken.”

Unbelievable! 1000s losing jobs every month and @Ed_Miliband’s response - let them eat cake! Out of touch, out of ideas and in our opinion - he’s out of time ⌛️

Since getting elected I don’t know how many hours of questions and debates I’ve sat through and been told there are thousands of good jobs coming. The reality is there are tens of thousands of ACTUAL jobs being lost RIGHT NOW. The transition is not happening quickly enough.

Tell that to the Grangemouth workers whose jobs have been cut with no back up. A just transition includes workers, it doesn’t leave them in a waiting room while their livelihoods are put on the line 📣

Sending my support to the Turners Q8 workforce involved in their pay dispute. The cost of living crisis is raging on and to be offered a measly 1% increase when Turners made £53 million last year is an insult to the workers. Solidarity ✊ @UniteEconomy @UniteScotland
