Passing the baton!

A joyful and emotional end of year service at @StAnneRoyton for @StAnnesRoyton school as we bid our wonderful Year 6 farewell & gave thanks for Mrs Sue Holt our amazing Headteacher of 18 years. She passed on the baton of faith, hope & love to Mrs Martin & Mrs Henderson.

A wonderful evening listening to the remarkable @malcolmguite and the bonus of seeing @lizdevall1 for the second time in four days

Good to be at @ManCathedral for the Evensong where we gave thanks for the retiring Headteachers and to support Mrs Sue Holt as she prepares for her retirement after an amazing 18 years service as Head @StAnnesRoyton. A beautiful service.

We have had an amazing day with Mary and @ManDioGF_OADE for our Ethos Day. We have been exploring our core values and how we are 'Growing Together to Flourish in God's World'. We are connected to vine.

What is wisdom? St Anne had wisdom and passed this to Mary so she could say yes to God's request to have Jesus. We thought about how we have wisdom and we wrote prayers to ask for wisdom like St Anne's. @ManDioGF_OADE @DbeManchester @lizdevall1

Whilst listening to Faure's 'In Paradisium', we closed our eyes and thought about faith and painted a picture of what the music made us think of. @ManDioGF_OADE @DbeManchester @lizdevall1

We rock! We are all unique and our decorated rocks show how God made each one of us different. @ManDioGF_OADE @DbeManchester @lizdevall1

We designed our own stained glass windows after being inspired by the windows in @StAnneRoyton. @ManDioGF_OADE @DbeManchester @lizdevall1

We reflected on the life of St Anne and why she is so special to our school. Our bottles help us to reflect about what we are proud of as we watch the glitter float around. @ManDioGF_OADE @DbeManchester @lizdevall1

Our fingerprint crosses helped us to explore love and respect. We thought about how much love Mary showed for Jesus. We will be giving our crosses to someone we love. @ManDioGF_OADE @DbeManchester @lizdevall1

Glorious day at @CR_Mirfield today for our @manchester_scp quiet day. A day of fellowship, poetry reflection and prayer. Thankful for this time apart together.

Huge thanks to @BishMiddleton for his wonderful hospitality this evening as Manchester Chapter gathered to worship, renew their promises, eat together & take part in an Angel, Ignatius & Hymn themed quiz! Thankful for the time together in prayer & conversation, food & laughter.

Wonderful to welcome @StAnnesRoyton to church today for harvest festival. Fantastic reflections on how words found in HARVEST can be linked to our values. Good, on World Mental Health Day, to also use our @myHappymind_ wheel of gratitude. Generous response for @OldhamFoodbank

It was good for our new Vicar @lizdevall1 to welcome @stmatthews_cofe to St Matthew's Church yesterday for their harvest festival! Fantastic singing, art work and presentations as well as a generous response to supporting @TrussellUK and @Shelter!
