Incredible resource from the hugely talented Bonaiuto lab. Want to run super high resolution MEG with laminar level hypothesis testing without having to write 10,000 lines of code?! Here’s your toolkit.
🚨New laminar MEG toolkit🚨I'm so happy to be at @biomag2024 to announce the release of laMEG, an easy-to-install implementation of the simulations and analyses from our laminar MEG papers AND if you wish you could use SPM from python, keep reading👇🧵

Happy to share this preprint completed with @TantanBrainMan and colleagues! Why try and smooth over and ignore movement in adaptive DBS when you can target it directly? All completed remotely in our patients home with a fully automated end-to-end programming pipeline….
Excited to share a preprint of work done together with folks from UCSF (@littleneuro), UC Berkeley, and U of Washington, using neural decoding and adaptive DBS to selectively amplify movement when intended and reduce dyskinesia when it isn't.

Excited to share here the story of Shawn, a patient in our adaptive DBS study -
Meet Shawn, a former pro skateboarder diagnosed with Parkinson's nine years ago. With adaptive deep brain stimulation, a personalized algorithm adjusts his treatment as symptoms change. @littleneuro @NeurosurgUCSF

So proud of our 3 female first co-authors who led this project @CarinaOehrn, @scernera1 & @LaurenHHammer along with friend and co-senior author Philip Starr. Adaptive DBS for Parkinson's is out of the lab and into the real-world!.
The most creative, intense, and rewarding project I’ve ever worked on! Now out @NatureMedicine. Real-world blinded adaptive DBS halves time with motor symptoms and improves quality of life in Parkinson’s disease. With the amazing @scernera1 @LaurenHHammer @littleneuro Philip.
