Was thinking about 9/11 today. How united our country was. How our allies supported & embraced us. How, when asked, they sent their best to fight alongside us. How some made the ultimate sacrifice. This American remembers.

I was a child in school post ‘duck & cover’ but pre school shooting drills. My biggest concern was if someone would write something mean about me in a slam book (the social media of the day) We were able to be children, innocent. The lucky generation.

It’s been a tough week for me, 1st anniversary of my dad’s death. He was a WW2 combat vet, & the military gave him a respectful & moving ceremony. He lived a good long life, he was 98, and I miss him so.

Sigh.

This is so very true. Nothing is ever the same. This week was the 1st anniversary of my dad’s death. He was 98. I still wasn’t ready. My mom died 14 years ago. She was my person. I grieve for her still.

The dumbing down of America continues. My alma mater is on this list, and not only were there satellite classes on base, majority of my teachers/professors were active duty or veterans. This administration is full of incompetent fools.
