Today was our Healthcare Professional Showcase Event for nurses, midwives, allied health professionals and other healthcare professionals from our partner NHS Trusts 🏥 Attendees heard inspiring career journeys from those who work with us and gained insights into BRC research.

💬@LaurakinseyRD, Lead Dietitian at the Manchester Adult Cystic Fibrosis Centre completed our Healthcare Professional Placement Scheme. She worked on a feasibility trial for a programme to promote healthy eating & prevent weight gain for women at increased risk of breast cancer.

Pearl Kadiri, a Midwife at @MFTnhs, completed our Healthcare Professional Placement Scheme this year. She worked on a project around communicating and assessing maternal cardiovascular risk related to hypertension disorders of pregnancy 👇 #IDM2025 #InternationalDayoftheMidwife

Elizabeth Riley, an Advanced Clinical Practitioner at @MFTnhs, recently completed our Healthcare Professional Placement Scheme. Elizabeth worked on a Rheumatic and Musculoskeletal Diseases Theme project on taping in knee osteoarthritis, which can be used to reduce pain.

Representing Manchester BRC at the @MFTnhs annual Nursing, Midwifery, and Allied Health Professions Conference today. The event included presentations and poster displays celebrating this year’s theme of Leadership and Compassionate Culture.

Will Smith, a Physiotherapist at @LancsHospitals, recently completed our Healthcare Professional Placement Scheme. Will worked on the Manchester BRC-funded Rapid Access Diagnostics in Asthma (RADicA) study, which aims to develop new and better breathing tests to diagnose asthma.
