Have you seen enough eclipse photos yet? The one with the greenish tinge in the left upper corner shows a refraction ghost image with the crescent inverted L to R. The other is through the clouds near our maximum here in Birmingham, AL.

Today is our annual brief encounter with a combined flock of migrating red-winged blackbirds and robins. They usually hang around for only 1-2 days. Does anyone know why they always appear together?

#SolarEclipse Odd photographic phenomenon. This is from the solar eclipse this past Saturday, 10-14-23. Of course, you see the sun through the trees, but also a reversed refracted green ghost image showing the crescent (inverted left to right).
