Last year I had got premium for many language learning apps but now I've cancelled them all! I am more into books, podcasts and diary entries now. Your learning style is dynamic, it keeps on changing. NEVER hesitate to try out new methods when you feel like!! <3

I passed JLPT N2!! Not with the perfect scores like N3 but I'm still happy. I had my school finals a month ago the test and fell sick with covid too.
But, I'm glad to pass N2 after 3 years of studying Japanese. Ofc, I need to practice grammar a LOT more! N1 next July 🇯🇵

Have you ever seen this script? This is the script of the "Lepcha" language- spoken in India, in the states of Sikkim and a small part of West Bengal- it has very less number of speakers. This is the first time I'm seeing this script! In India we have SO many languages! 🌟

Bengali literature may not be so popular as Russian or French in the international community. But it’s essence surprises me every time I read a new piece of literature. Right now I’m reading “Chokher Bali” by Rabindranath Tagore.

Bengali is my mother tongue and in Bengali, we do not have a separate word for 'to drink' and 'to eat'. SO we basically say 'I eat water'.
Last year, in my Japanese class I mistakenly said 水を食べました。[I ate water]. My teacher laughed and asked me to correct the sentence. ++

I have met many new people all over the world because of language learning and I am always so glad to have met them! It's magical how knowing a new language opens a whole new world to you. Language learning is the best decision I've had ever made in my life.

So here’s my life update: I have not studied any other language other than Japanese since 11th Feb and I feel terrible for that. I’m flying to Japan on the 2nd of April so I’m busy with all the packing stuff and nervous. I do have time now but I can’t study+

Mandarin doesn't feel as difficult as Japanese as an absolute beginner. No verb conjugations, no tenses. Understanding spoken mandarin is challenging ofc but it should improve with practice. I wonder why I was so terrified of this language. It's so unique and interesting

I just cannot concentrate when a teacher is teaching me something. I work much better when I am self-studying with books or listening to lectures at my own pace. Sometimes my pace is faster than the classes, sometimes slower.
Anyone else in the same boat as me? 🥺

I kinda gave up on Dutch, I think. The main reason is the lack of resources, I know there are few books n all, but they're not available in my country. And, it's pretty impossible for me to take Dutch classes atm. I was relying on Duolingo but didn't work. ++

At 18 I realised that I did nothing during my teenage years but obey my parents and study 😪 This affected my self-confidence negatively, as a result, I am not able to talk to people now. In 8th grade, my mom took away my phone because I used to chat with 'too many boys' ++

Fun fact: the Bengali that is spoken in West Bengali, India does not have a verb for "to drink" SO we literally say "we EAT water". Indians from other regions often joke about this lol. (ps- I'm from Kolkata, capital of West Bengal).
