Having been a few months into an extremely busy and unsustainable workflow while writing the dense bits of my PhD thesis, I find this song to be incredibly validating. Sending you all good vibes in dark times:

Happy New Year friends and colleagues. And happy YEAR OF GROUNDWATER! I'm very excited for the year ahead and the opportunity to make the invisible visible with @UNIGRAC and partners! 2022 is going to be a good oneπ§

A powerful leader in todayβs Times. Gets across the key message from yesterdayβs @theCCCuk Progress Reports: Government must get real on achieving the UK's legal climate targets. But we need to talk about this βruinously expensiveβ Net Zero stuff. Thread β with some new charts.

It can be difficult for most africain earth scientists struggle to get publish, but don't give up ! Most of the time, they receive : "your study his local ππ... please put it in global view!" #EGUv21

I had a great experience of fieldwork for a week. Got to know Scotland and the geology! I was really glad that I used my geology degree to work there. Many more to come towards my best interesting work! Thank you Scotland and Mike!

This is an important, shocking thread. For a sustainable future for all, we need to reduce inequalities in all parts of our society. Critical science and technology should be innovative and diverse, leading the way in equity. @royalsociety any comment on these stark statistics?

Thanks again @billy_andrews. It was fun having you here for a wee while.
Brilliant fieldwork with @likes_rocks! Certainly helped me further my understanding of the highland boundary fault and how conglomerates fault!

Feeling so proud of myself for running my first marathon. At about the 30km mark both my knees had crampped up so I had to hobble to the final 12km. Made it at 7 hrs 59 min 44 sec, sub-8π. Can't wait for the next one!

I have found very few people interested in free food, travel, and housing to look at rocks! If you know anyone looking for a good geology experience this is an excellent opportunity. I'm booking people for 5-6 days at a time so you don't have to commit the whole month.
I need field assistants (May 10th - June 10th, 2021)! Any Scottish-based geology post-grads looking for fieldwork experience? I need lots of help sampling clasts and their fractures. Here are pretty photos of my site (Stonehaven) to grab interest. @FafFclyde @UniStrathclyde
