Excited to share our new results published on Ecology Letters! We studied warming's impact on host resistance to a bacterial pathogen over eco-evolutionary timescales. Check it out here:

Drs. Kayla King (@kaylacking) & Jingdi (Judy) Li (@lijingdioo) found that cold-blooded animals with bacterial infections were more likely to die when exposed to higher temperatures compared to usual environmental conditions. @ZoologyUBC @UBCMicroImmuno

Excited to share my new paper featured by @UBCNews! Our synthesis of 60 studies reveals that bacterial infections in ectothermic animals are deadlier at higher temperatures, while fungal pathogen virulence change varies by context. Read more:

Here is what I do: for papers that have super long method paragraphs I find struggling extracting useful info, I paste them to ChatGPT and ask specific questions. ChatGPT doesn't always give out good enough answers but at least give out something clearer for me to start with!

Whoever has ever done a meta-analysis must agree that it always take ages to go through individual papers and gather all the useful metadata. But with ChatGPT4 I could leave AI to do all the nasty work, of course I'll still go through everything to make sure the info is correct.

Just realize how ChatGTP4 can be so useful in my research -- especially for doing meta-analysis and collecting metadata from individual papers as a non-native speaker!
