While sorting through paperwork, I found this. It has really useful tips for people struggling to get out of the house. You definitely need a bag, some people have more than one. Imagine a baby change bag for adults. What do you put in your bag? Any tips? 😘 Γ—Γ— #incontinence

This is my bad day kit, it goes everywhere. My other kit has meds, cleaning bits, nappies, clothes etc. End of last year & start of this year were tough, I wasn't coping. Today I'm sorting prd paperwork, getting back on top. So many things I can't wait to share with you πŸ₯°

As some one that suffers with rectal bleeding, it's good to see that these late effects are being taken seriously. The more I bleed, the worse I feel...drained, confused and so tired. It impacts on daily life and it doesn't just affect me...it affects my family & friends too 😫

Visitor to the @PRDA_uk stand @BritSocGastro #BSGLIVE24 praised this presentation - really important to keep raising the debate about management of bleeding in this group of patients as it can seriously impact on quality of life #PelvicRadiationDisease #RadiationProctopathy

Really good to read this & to see more advances and understanding in how cancer treatments affect patients and not just from the treatment & immediate side effects. Scanxiety is very real & the late effects from the treatments are debilitating in so many ways & last a lifetime πŸ˜•

An estimated 25% of patients with cancer suffer from depression and distress. Less crippling but noteworthy is β€˜scanxiety’—anxiety related to surveillance and waiting for and receiving results.

These kits are so important. I was diagnosed with IBS for 18 months, before realising my issues might be something else...thanks to seeing an episode of Outnumbered where the dad had IBD. Early diagnosis is vital xx @bowelcanceruk @DrLisaDurrant @macmillancancer @SamanthaBostoc3

The NHS bowel cancer screening kit can detect signs of cancer before you notice anything is wrong. The kit is automatically posted to everyone aged 56 to 74, and the programme is expanding to include those aged 50 to 55 by 2025. #BowelCancerAwarenessMonth

Good news from the bowel screening test. I was told that due to bleeding from the rectum because of cancer treatment & prd, screening tests wouldn't work. If you're offered these tests...please do them xxx @PRDA_uk @DrLisaDurrant @macmillancancer @bowelcanceruk
