Confirmed tenants are Metro Bank, Caffè Nero, Tesco Express (double unit), and one yet to be announced which will be housed within the Carliol House facade, (where Start Fitness used to be).

The gable end facing the rain gardens on Ninth Avenue & Chillingham Road in Heaton has been given a makeover, (as has the litter bin to match)!. Mural by Molly Bland, co-designed with the children of Chillingham Rd Primary School.

Grainger Street (south) is looking a bit smarter now the Covid concrete bus stop platforms have finally been removed. 👍. They were rarely used by waiting passengers and caused dirty water and litter to collect in the corners.
@mikeybee1 I believe they were loading platforms for buses, so that awaiting passengers didn’t take up as much space on the pavements during social distancing rules, however from what I saw passengers continued to queue on the pavement, only moving onto the platform once the bus pulled up.
