Identity != Ideology. Politics are about ideologies. The minute you conflate politics with identity you lose all grounds for productive discussion and debate. Ideas should be judged on the merits of their facts/arguments not on the merits of the person presenting them.

i fear for the future of github, and we don't really have an alternative…. no: gitlab or even codeberg are not alrernatives for the essence of github, which is not "remote git repo host"….

first time using claude code extensively and hit the limit in 2h (pro sub, so sonnet only).previous sessions were always more sporadic or shorter so i never hit the session limit before. i want to upgrade but the upcoming weekly limits have me considering my options… :\.

i keep thinking about this: if it affects only 5% of your users why would you change the policy for the other 95%, with the inevitable downfall of bad pr and its long tail for product marketing, instead of just addressing the issue with those 5%? 🤔. feels ever more disingenous….
