Genie 3 feels like a watershed moment for world models ๐: we can now generate multi-minute, real-time interactive simulations of any imaginable world. This could be the key missing piece for embodied AGIโฆ and it can also create beautiful beaches with my dog, playable real time

Google DeepMind's @jparkerholder says Genie 3 is not an agent. It's an environment. A general-purpose simulator where AI can discover behaviors the way AlphaGo did: by playing, failing, and trying again. In robotics, this could enable agents to finally learn skills transferable

Damn it worked! Genie 3 world --> inpaint UI --> 4x topaz AI upscale --> train 3d gaussian splat. You can step inside a painting of Socrates from 1787. Better than any image-to-3d model I've seen. I think Google has stumbled upon the killer app for VR -- the literal holodeck.
